The larger Zymo property is underlain by clastic sediments of the Skeena (Lower Cretaceous), Bowser (Upper Jurassic) and Hazelton (Lower and/or Middle Jurassic) groups, which have been intruded by diorite and granite of the Nanika (Eocene) and Bulkley (Late Cretaceous) Intrusive Suites. Recent reports (Assessment Report 33546) have reported information that shows the URZ zone to be contained within the Middle Jurassic Smithers Formation (Hazelton Group).

The URC zone is located two kilometres southwest of Hobbes prospect and is defined by anomalous copper, gold, molybdenum, arsenic and gallium in rocks and soils and is underlain by coincidental high chargeability and an airborne magnetic high that runs along Red Canyon Creek. Outcrop is scarce in the area but chalcopyrite has been found in diorite dikes and mineralized float, running up to 0.31 per cent copper and 0.15 gram per tonne gold from altered intrusive float (Assessment Report 32725). In 2011, two hole were attempted on the URC Zone with one lost due to difficult ground conditions in overburden. ZY11 24 encountered unaltered intercalated fossiliferous silt and mudstones with abundant diagenitic pyrite.
